Moment2Moment Privacy Policy

Moment2Moment is operated by Meditative Compositions – Matthew Herman (“Moment2Moment,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information Moment2Moment may collect, how that information is used, and the choices available to users.

By using Moment2Moment, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Moment2Moment, we may collect the following information:

Account Information

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

• Your name

• Your email address

• A unique account identifier

This information is used to create, authenticate, secure, and manage your account.

Meditation Activity and Progress

Moment2Moment may store information about your use of the app, including:

• Meditations played or completed

• Meditation history

• Progress information

• Scheduled meditation reminders

• Dates and times associated with meditation activity

This information allows the app to provide progress tracking, scheduling, history, and cross-device restoration.

Reflections and Other User Content

If you enter meditation reflections or other written content, that information may be stored with your account so that you can access it later and restore it across supported devices.

Please avoid entering highly sensitive personal, medical, or confidential information in reflection fields.

Subscription Information

Moment2Moment may receive information from Apple indicating whether you have an active subscription, free trial, restored purchase, or other entitlement.

All subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card number, bank account information, or Apple Account password.

Technical Information

Our service providers may process limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and deliver the app, such as:

• IP address

• Device or operating-system information

• User-agent information

• Authentication and security information

• Streaming performance, buffering, and error information

We do not use this information for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and authenticate user accounts

• Provide meditation content

• Save and restore schedules, progress, history, and reflections

• Synchronize information across supported devices

• Determine whether Premium features should be available

• Deliver and manage app functionality

• Maintain security and prevent abuse

• Respond to support requests

• Diagnose and improve reliability and performance

• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use personal information for third-party advertising.

We do not use personal information to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

3. Service Providers

Moment2Moment uses third-party providers to operate important app functions.

Google Firebase

We use Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, to support account authentication, cloud storage, synchronization, and account management.

Firebase may process information such as email addresses, passwords, IP addresses, user-agent information, account identifiers, and data stored in connection with app features. Google generally processes Firebase customer data as a service provider or data processor on behalf of the developer. 

Apple

Apple provides App Store distribution, StoreKit subscriptions, free trials, purchase restoration, offer-code redemption, and transaction verification.

Purchases are completed securely through the user’s Apple Account. Moment2Moment receives subscription and entitlement information but does not receive the user’s full payment credentials. 

bunny.net

We use bunny.net to host and deliver certain audio and video content. bunny.net may process anonymous or limited technical information relating to content delivery, streaming quality, errors, buffering, and network performance. 

These providers may process information in countries other than the user’s country of residence, subject to their own privacy policies and contractual protections.

4. Data Sharing

We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers that help operate Moment2Moment

• When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request

• To protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of Moment2Moment, its users, or others

• In connection with a business transfer, merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

• With the user’s consent or at the user’s direction

We do not sell or rent personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention

We retain account information and user content for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain the user’s account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

When an account or its associated data is deleted, some information may remain temporarily in backups or may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate recordkeeping.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.

Firebase states that supported services use encryption in transit and that services including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore encrypt applicable data at rest. 

However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. User Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Request access to personal information

• Request correction of inaccurate information

• Request deletion of personal information

• Request a copy of certain information

• Object to or restrict certain processing

• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Please include enough information for us to identify your account and understand the request. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

Subscription cancellation and billing are managed through the user’s Apple Account subscription settings.

8. Push Notifications

Moment2Moment may request permission to send meditation reminders and other app-related notifications.

Users can disable notifications at any time through their iPhone notification settings. Disabling notifications does not delete schedules, account information, or other saved app data.

9. Children’s Privacy

Moment2Moment is not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without proper consent, contact us so we can review and address the situation.

10. Health and Wellness Disclaimer

Moment2Moment provides meditation, mindfulness, relaxation, and general wellness content.

The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and is not a substitute for care from a qualified medical or mental-health professional.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact emergency services or an appropriate healthcare professional.

11. International Users

Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.

Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to the app, our services, legal requirements, or data practices.

When changes are made, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Moment2Moment after an updated policy becomes effective indicates acknowledgment of the revised policy.
